Core Technologies
Noncovalent Derivatization
We are equipped to design, synthesize and characterize small and medium scale multimolecular solid state systems. Our in-house expertise in developing structure-activity relationships of binary and ternary co-crystalline systems allows us to efficiently manipulate the bulk physical properties of materials while avoiding the use of high energies and hazardous reagents.
Polymer Synthesis and Engineering
We have specialization in the design, synthesis and characterization of functional polymeric materials. By creating co-polymeric systems with specific “built in” intermolecular interactions, we can control the stability and reactivity while simultaneously providing unique properties.
Metal Oxide Semiconductors
We have found a number of technologies that allow for low energy processing of sol-gels and other dispersive states of metal oxides. These semiconductor/photo-active systems can be coated or incorporated into multi-component systems under ambient conditions while maximizing functional product properties.
Small Molecule Synthesis
Whereas molecules form the foundational building blocks of all materials, it is essential that their synthesis be as sustainable as possible. We are fully equipped to design, synthesize and characterize complex molecules using state of the art synthetic methodologies.
Films, Coatings and Surfaces
We have developed a number of new fundamental film forming and surface coating mechanisms that minimze energy utilization and VOCs. Our microsocopy and surface analysis lab is uniquely equipped to characterize and develop sustainable coating solutions.
